The Social Security Investment Fund (formerly the Investment Unit) commenced its operations in 2003. It is responsible for managing and investing the funds of the Social Security Corporation with the aim of achieving sound and sustainable returns on invested assets, while preserving the real value of assets and holdings and ensuring adequate liquidity to meet the future obligations of the Social Security Corporation.

Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives

Driven by its recognition of the role its investments and operations play in supporting national economic growth and maximizing positive social and environmental impact, the Social Security Investment Fund places particular emphasis on sustainable development dimensions. In this context, the Fund actively participates in corporate social responsibility initiatives led by national institutions and encourages its employees to engage in such initiatives, contributing to community service and strengthening social solidarity. The Fund also implements qualitative initiatives in collaboration with various national entities. The Fund further issues annual sustainability reports highlighting its key achievements and practices across economic, environmental, and social sustainability dimensions. Guided by its belief in the importance and impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as key drivers of financial performance and positive economic impact, the Fund adopts a systematic approach to integrating these principles into its internal operations and investment activities through its strategic plan.
