Strategic Framework for Women Empowerment
As part of its commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment that promotes equality, equal opportunities, and diversity within its institutional culture, the Fund has implemented initiatives under the “Women Empowerment Charter” since 2018. These initiatives aim to enhance equal opportunities in employment, empowerment, and skills development, enabling female employees to perform efficiently and compete fairly in career progression alongside their male counterparts.
Participation in National Efforts
Recognizing the critical role of women in economic and social development, the Fund has contributed to the development of the National Strategy for Women in Jordan (2020–2025), in collaboration with the Jordanian National Commission for Women and various public and civil society institutions.
Training and Capacity Building
The Fund focuses on empowering female employees by involving them in specialized training programs aimed at developing their professional and leadership skills, enabling them to address current and future challenges and ensuring sustainable career growth.
The Fund also actively participates in conferences and workshops dedicated to women empowerment, promoting their role in the economy and society within a work environment based on equality and non-discrimination.
Female Representation on Boards
The Fund places significant emphasis on enhancing female representation on the boards of companies in which it invests. Female board members are selected based on clear governance criteria, with continuous development through specialized leadership and institutional capacity-building programs.
In alignment with international benchmarks, the Fund set a minimum target of 10% female representation in 2023, while the actual representation of women representing the Fund reached approximately 25.7%, reflecting its commitment to strengthening women’s participation in decision-making positions.
