The Social Security Investment Fund (formerly the Investment Unit) commenced its operations in 2003. It is responsible for managing and investing the funds of the Social Security Corporation with the aim of achieving sound and sustainable returns on invested assets, while preserving the real value of assets and holdings and ensuring adequate liquidity to meet the future obligations of the Social Security Corporation.
The portfolio consists of public listed companies stocks traded in Amman Stock Exchange and stocks of the strategic private equity companies. The value of the equity portfolio amounted to around JD 3,231.4 million as at 30/09/2025, representing around 18.2% of the Fund’s total portfolio.
The portfolio is divided into:
A. Public Equity Portfolio: the value of the public equity portfolio amounted to around JD 3,030.4 million representing 17% of the Fund’s total portfolio. The value of SSIF Public Equity Portfolio listed in the Amman Stock Exchange amounted to JD 3,017.5 billion, representing 13.1% of the total market value of the stock exchange.

B. Private Equity and Investment Funds Portfolio: the value of the private equity and Investment Funds portfolio amounted to JD 201.1 million as at 30/09/2025, representing around 1.1% of the Fund’s total portfolio. The investments are distributed over: energy, infrastructure, and services sectors.
