Services

The services sector represents the backbone of the Jordanian economy, given its significant contribution to GDP and the wide employment base it provides. Its importance stems from its role as the broadest umbrella for daily economic activity and its ability to enhance productivity through telecommunications infrastructure, financial services development, expansion of digital payments, and support for trade, logistics, and value-added services. With the acceleration of digital transformation, the services sector is becoming increasingly central as a driver of the digital economy and a key contributor to enhancing the competitiveness of the business environment.

The Fund invests in a number of publicly listed companies within this sector, most notably: Jordan Telecommunications Company, Jordan Duty Free Shops, and MadfooatCom for electronic payments.
